Product Description

Gustav Klimt’s famous oil painting of  ‘Golden Apple Tree’

The Golden Apple Tree was painted around 1903 but was destroyed in a fire at Castle Immendorf in 1945. It is unclear what message Klimt was trying to portray in the Golden Apple Tree. In Greek mythology it represents the golden apple awarded to Aphrodite by Paris in the competition for the most beautiful goddess.  The original canvas dimensions are 100cm X 100cm (39.5 in by 39.5 in).

The oil painting depicts a tree harvesting bright golden apples ready for plucking.

Canvas will be rolled and posted in a strong,  secure postal tube
